Skutt offers a full line of energy saving electric kilns. The eight, ten, twelve and sixteen-sided kilns have stainless steel jackets. Most Skutt kilns offer three-inch firebrick as an option to provide additional insulation and energy savings.
WHAT SHOULD YOU ORDER? 240 or 208 VOLTS, SINGLE OR 3-PHASE?
In order to fire properly, a kiln’s power configuration must match the power available where the kiln is to be installed. Most household current is 220/240 volt, single phase. 208 volt and three-phase wiring is often found in industrial, institutional and commercial buildings. If you are unsure of your power requirements, seek an electrician’s advice. Remember, a kiln that is not correctly matched to its power source will fire poorly and could be dangerous.
