China Paints

China Paint Powders are used as the "ink" for silkscreen printing application on clay. They can also be used for spring, lining, banding and hand printing. These colors are sold as a powder and need to be mixed with water based printing medium, available in craft store.
China Paints are overglaze decorations that are applies layer by layer on fired and glazed ware, most often porcelain. Building up layers of color adds density and deepens the color. Layers of different colors can be used and since they are translucent, the underneath color will show through. During firing, these paints will not change color , they melt into the glaze, bonding with it. Firing Temperature is cone 018-015.
