An eco-friendly version of the AMACO Plasti-Bat!
 
One of the first products in the Brent Green Series, the BioBat is made of bio-composite material combining 100% reclaimed organic fiber with 100% recycled thermoplastic. The BioBat is a new eco-friendly version of the original Plasti-Bat, and offers the same characteristics: virtually indestrudtible, does not splinter, delaminate, swell or shrink.
 
The organic fiber used for the BioBat is a normal by-product of the forestry industry, so no additional wood has been depleted in production. The BioBat has slightly more texture than the Plasti-Bat, is much like a wood bat in that it's textured on both sides. It is more rigid than plastic bats and does not bend or flex easily, which enables potters and students to keep vessels completely flat when removing the bat from the wheel head. BioBats are available in 12" and 14" diameter and are drilled with bat pin holes.
